Jeremy’s voyage to the moon
A recent addition to our proud alumni, Jeremy’s career is taking flight with great success in Voyage to the Moon.
2014 & 2015 Joseph Sambrook Opera scholarship recipient Jeremy Kleeman has wasted little time since completing his time with Melba Opera Trust in October 2015. We were thrilled to learn in August of last year that Jeremy had landed his first major role with preeminent companies Musica Viva and Victorian Opera for their collaboration production, Voyage to the Moon.
Making the seemingly overnight transformation from opera scholar to opera star, Jeremy made his debut in the role of Magus in Voyage to the Moon on Monday, 16 February at Melbourne Recital Centre, which has been dubbed by Limelight magazine, ‘Baroque heaven’.
Following it’s Melbourne run, Voyage will tour the country and is a production not to be missed. Jeremy joins a star cast of artists and instrumentalists including soprano and past Melba Mentor Emma Matthews, mezzo-soprano Sally-Anne Russell and pianist Phoebe Briggs.
Congratulations, Jeremy! We’re certain this is the start of many other voyages to come!
