The Melba Opera Trust offers an innovative approach to operatic development through its scholarships, mentoring and performance stream. The balance of these three elements provides a strong foundation for young Australian singers to build a successful career.
Our activities rely entirely on personal and philanthropic donations. Donations help us to build our Scholarship Endowment Fund, the returns from which enables us to assist young singers. The more we can build our Endowment, the more we can develop our programs and increase the level of support we can provide to Australia’s promising opera singers. We are not a Government funded organisation.
You can help us by making a Tax deductible donation to the Trust. Every gift is a way to share in the journey of an exceptional young opera singer and help them to realise their full potential.
The Melba Memorial Conservatorium of Music, trading as the Dame Nellie Melba Opera Trust, is registered as an income tax exempt and charitable entity. The Melba Conservatorium Gift Fund is a tax deductible fund listed on the Register of Cultural Organisations under Subdivision 30-B of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997. All donations of $2 or more to the Fund are tax deductible.
