The Dame Nellie Melba Opera Trust is an independent charitable entity with a vision to ensure that promising young singers are supported financially during the critical postgraduate phases of their development. The Trust will realise its vision by awarding scholarships and other forms of financial assistance for educational and operatic activities, leveraged from the return on its investments and other philanthropic support.

Our primary objectives are to support the education, development and employment of young opera singers in this country; to support quality operatic training; encourage professional opportunities for singers; and to promote operatic experiences for members of the public in an engaging and positive way by showcasing our young singers at events.
